How to find us

Our tours begin and end at the Molo dei Pescatori, the harbor and small port in the historic part of Monterosso al Mare.

Upon request, departure from and/or return to Levanto can be arranged.

If staying outside of Monterosso, we strongly discourage driving and highly recommend arriving by train. Getting to Monterosso by car involves driving very winding roads and, once you arrive it can be difficult to find parking.

By Train

Your arrival station will be "Monterosso" or "Monterosso al Mare."

As you exit the station, go left and walk along the promenade towards the historical center (“Centro Storico”). When you exit the tunnel, the beach and a set of stairs will be on your right. Take the stairs on the right which take you around to the harbour. Just look for our boat (it says 'Bel Mar Boat Tours' on it!)

Check the Trenitalia website for train information and schedule.

By Car

If you choose to drive, be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to find parking and to walk to the train station.

Driving to La Spezia and then train to Monterosso

If coming from the south, we would recommend driving to La Spezia Centrale train station and parking there (there’s an underground parking garage). You can then take the train from La Spezia Centrale to Monterosso.

Here is a great article regarding parking at the La Spezia Centrale station.

Driving to Levanto and then train to Monterosso

If coming from the north, we would recommend driving to Levanto and parking there. There are several paid parking options in Levanto, but not all of them are close to the station. You can then take the train from Levanto to Monterosso.

Driving to Monterosso

If you choose to drive to Monterosso, please allow an hour more than your GPS directions indicate and please trust us on this. To arrive at our location, the exit on A12 is Carrodano/Levanto. From here you’ll go in the direction of Levanto. At the second roundabout you’ll take the second exit towards Monterosso/Cinque Terre. From this point you should turn off your GPS and use the following directions:

Find Bel Mar boat tours in Molo dei Pescatori

We recommend taking a right at this sign, towards Fegina.

Continue on this road for 15-20 minutes, always following signs for Cinque Terre. When you arrive at the top of the hill you’ll see a hotel on your right called Monterosso Alto. You’ll see a large sign welcoming you to Monterosso and gives you the option of either going left towards the historical part of town or going straight which takes you to the new part of Monterosso (Lungomare Fegina). We would recommend the new part.

At the end of this road you’ll come to a small piazza - the parking lot is just beyond this and there is an attendant on duty. From here you can either take a taxi or walk along the promenade in the direction of the Centro Storico. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the harbor.

Parking

There are only a few parking lots in Cinque Terre and you will often find them at the entrance or outside the villages. Only Monterosso has parking lots in the town center, and they are generally full during high season. Another possibility is to park in nearby Levanto or La Spezia and then take the train to Cinque Terre.

The color of the lines on the parking spaces indicates the type of parking: white is for free parking, blue is for paid parking. When you park be sure that you do not park in areas reserved for residents (parcheggio residenti). The parking fines in Italy are expensive and will be collected abroad.

Parking in La Spezia

Here is a great article regarding parking at the La Spezia Centrale station.

And you can find more information on the parking garage here.

Parking in Levanto

There is paid parking throughout Levanto, but the main parking areas are behind the railway station and near the waterfront.

Click here for more information on parking in Levanto.

Parking in Monterosso

There is parking on both sides of Monterosso but the parking lot on the newer side (Fegina) is considerably larger. The parking lot in Fegina has 300 parking spaces while the parking garage in the Centro Storico (historic center) has 100 parking spaces.

Please keep in mind that in July & August or on holidays the parking lots are often full to capacity and you may even be turned away.
